Kim Bugeaud, a St. Albert resident since 1987, is a Social Worker (BSW) with front line community experience working with children, youth, families, and most recently with seniors in a hospital setting. As the mother of three adult children, she volunteered with the St. Albert Protestant School District (now the Public Board) for many years, and in fact was elected to serve one term as a Trustee from 1995 - 1998. During her trusteeship she also served on the PSBAA - Public School Boards Association of Alberta.
Kim believes in broad community representation and the effective stewardship of public resources. She is concerned about making sure that resources go to the classroom to help prepare our children for the future.
Kim believes in creating vibrant, sustainable communities. Kim wants to re-engage citizens in local decision-making and give Albertans the chance to define the future of their schools, communities and their province.
Prior to receiving her BSW, Kim completed a BA in Recreation and Leisure Studies, and diplomas in Social Work and Dance from Grant MacEwan. Her experiences also include over 25 years of bookkeeping for small independent businesses.
Kim is a passionate community volunteer with a background in the arts and in recreation. She has volunteered with St. Albert Minor Football, performed with a children's musical theatre troupe and St. Albert Soccer Association.
Most recently she let her name stand as the St. Albert Liberal Candidate in the 2012 provincial election. Kim passionately believes that strong vibrant communities will be sustainable and will prosper when citizens are engaged in the decisions that affect their lives and the lives of their families. With authentic democratic representation Albertans will define Alberta's future.
Kim committed to:
1. Working for a healthy vibrant Democracy
2. Open and Transparent Communication
3. Accessible and Accountable to the Constituents of St. Albert
4. Deliberate and Intentional Responses
5. The Revitalization of Hope
